Check out this post at 2nd Cup of Coffee...kind of neat
Rules in my house are a big deal. I make them, they try their best to break them. I even have a rule about the bed being made or I can't sleep in it. Tim thinks the bed making rule is hoo-larious, it's my thing.
I have rules about the cells phones. Talking and texting is finished by 8 pm every night. I need some peace. No text messages get deleted until I have gone through the phones (I KNOW for sure that this rule is broken, but I still do it. For example, MM knows to delete the ones sent to her, but has not realized yet that she is forgetting to delete the ones she sent.) The newest addition to the cell phone is NO FAKE NAMES to trick Kaye.
I had my fill of the texting and talking last night. I had to stop it an hour early last night. I felt like my head was on a merry go round with all the texting and Mary Margaret repeating every single text she sent and he sent. Then there was Taylor's texting. She feels that we should have this long conversation about "should I text soinso or should I not". after about 10 minutes of this, I'm like, just text or DON'T. OMGosh.
At 7 the girls had to hand over the phones. There were one or two exceptions, questions that I had asked them to ask a couple of people, etc. As those phones laid there on the kitchen table they looked like they were racing each other. Imagine the phones on vibrate, constantly going off. MM's in on a long vibration than Taylor's. You should have seen them jump up from the living room and run to the kitchen only to see their phones racing across the table and me shaking my head NOPE.
I texted back a couple of times for the girls...they were so not loving that...
Some boy to MM: just txt me a few more minutes
ME: she can't
Boy: um, okay, I don't know who this is but okay
ME: her aunt and I have rules
Boy: Oh, I love that she has rules
ME: you better
(do you all think he was making fun of me? I noticed that he txted this more than once last night.)
Taylor's Friend: Hey what u doin
ME: nothing what are you doing?
Friend: Notin
ME what is notin
Friend: this ain't Taylor is it
ME: nope
later
Taylor's Friend: gonna clip my toe nails now
(I'm rolling on the floor laughing at that one!)
Me: clip 'em girl them toe nails were scaring me
Friend: um, is this taylor?
me: nope, Kaye
Friend: oh hi miss kaye wut u doin
ME: waiting on you to clip your toe nails and tell me all about it
Friend: ur crazy
Me: been told that before
Friend: u scare me
Me: no really you scare me
Fun times...
You all want to be me, I can feel it!

Okay my issues and worries over getting a cell phone have just quadrupled.. texting a BOY! Oh He{{ no.
You make me look like the lamest mom in the world. I never thought about having them turn the phones in by a certain time, either. I was so naive. But this post is hilarious. I love your family!
