Deep Sea/Ocean Fishing

Tim and Garrie went deep sea fishing in Florida. Is it really deep sea fishing or is it deep ocean fishing? Just wondering.

In a previous post I joked and said that we chartered this boat for them...

They finally decided on a charter and headed out Thursday morning at 5:45 am to hit the open waters. The name of their boat was the Fish On.

There were two other people, father and son, going on this trip with them. The father and son had been on this trip before, boasting that they knew the owner and all they wanted to do was get out there, catch their limit and head back in. They did not want to stay the full 6 hour trip that they were paying for. As they headed out, the "know it alls" started to get sick. The boy started to feel like he was going to vomit. The dad started to look sickly. Thought they had done this before!

Garrie was afraid that he would be the one sick...he doesn't look sick in this picture.

Their trip was delayed. Of course they didn't get the charter that ran smoothly, they had to wait for the crew to start the boat, someone had eaten a banana the day before and dropped part of it into the bilge pump. I know its not a great picture, Tim took this with his camera phone. (I sent a real camera)

Tim and Garried ended up catching the limit for themselves and the two "know it alls". I think that Tim said they caught somewhere around 125 lb to 150 lb of fish, red snapper and king mackerel.

Later that night, Garrie cooked some of the red snapper with lemon juice, butter, and lemon pepper. It was great.

That night, a new neighbor moved in. He brought his own monster grill with him. He shared some of the snapper he was cooking. It was pretty good too. He grilled it with some season all and added shrimp to the top of the fish. The neighbors partied hard the rest of our stay.

I just noticed that it looks like they caught the GIANT version of Nemo in the movie Finding Nemo. OMGosh I ate Nemo. I ate a WHOLE Nemo. That's like killing Bambi.
