Mary Margaret gives her speech....the other picture is of most of the 6th grade. I could not get them all in the picture.
Mary Margaret gave her speech today to the entire (197 students) 6th grade, the meeting was in the Jr. High Cafeteria. I THINK SHE WAS AMAZING! She did a great great job. She seemed a little nervous. There are 46 6th graders running for Student Council. The speeches were done in alphabetical order, Mary Margaret was close to the front, I was able to go listen to her, jury duty was canceled today. She wrote her speech all by herself, turned it in to the teacher and was given the OK. There were a few speeches that sounded like the parent wrote it for them. I just hope that she can keep her grades up to the B average that she has to maintain to be in the Student Council. She helped me with posters, 4 small ones and two big ones. I'm proud Mary Margaret decided to run. If she wants to be involved in School Activities, I'm all for it!
Sad news: M & M's boyfriend broke up with her, for someone prettier than her. HAS HE LOST HIS MIND?

John Bratton Makes the Newspaper
Johnathon has made the paper! He leaves for Iraq sometime in January after the training that is required. His unit is the 875th. Angela and Garrie are giving him a party this Saturday. Angela was getting things ready for this weekend and has sprained her foot and/or possibly broken it. John will leave for Little Rock for the first round of training this month. He sure has come a long way from that little boy catching salamanders, and wrecking 3 wheelers! We love you John.
Mrs. Butler told me a story about John and his girlfriend Katherine. She told me that something very special happened while he and Katherine were on a date in Jonesboro this weekend. I automatically thought that (the way Mrs. Butler was talking) John proposed... Nicole thought the same thing. If you know Mrs. Butler, you all know that she started the story off this way...."Something special happened with John and Katherine while they were eating in Jonesboro. But I better not say anything..." So now you know why I thought what I did....
Anyway...When John (he was dressed in uniform) and Katherine got ready to leave the restaurant and pay the bill the waitress came over and told John that an anonymous person paid for their meal. John and Katherine then go to the movies and get to the ticket box and find that their way had been paid. Support for our troops come in many different ways. I thought that was very, very nice. ...John is leaving for real, no jokes...
Did any of you see Sally Fields on the Emmys the other night? Her statement was this..."If mothers ruled the world, there wouldn't be any blank wars."

Wonderful Math, How I love It!
I love math. I eat and breath math. NOT!
I do not like math and I don't think that Mary Margaret likes it either. I have found a website that I would have loved to have as a kid (the internet did not exsist then). www.helpwithfractions.com This site explains Greatest Common Factors, Least Common Factors, How to get the GCF and LCF and FRACTIONS! I REALLY like this site. If anyone is having the fun that I am a having...visit this site! I finally had time to get my hair cut and once again JOY FORRESTER at STUDIO 251 did a fantastic job! Taylor, sweet little Taylor, bust me out when I least expect it. The last time that Joy colored my hair, I loved it, but as it faded, it began to look orange...so not having the $$to let Joy fix it, I fixed it myself with dark brown...Taylor told Joy yesterday it was so funny...she is so blunt. "Hey Joy," she says "you remember when you colored Kaye Kaye's hair orange...well, she fixed it and we like the brown better than the orange." Gotta love kids!
They are both getting their hair cut Friday...I think, just for fun, I should get their eyebrows done...ha ha. I wouldn't do that.............

WELCOME TO MY LIFE!

Baby Blues from Jonesboro Sun,
Wednesday, September 12, 2007
I believe that this cartoon says it all! This is my life every day. I liked Jr. High as a kid, as an adult....I'VE ALREADY BEEN TO SCHOOL AND DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK...but I am. For those out there reading this....I know you feel the same way!!! We should start a support group..."Adults Against I DUNNO!" (AAID) I don't like math, but I'm learning it again....against my will! When the teacher told all of us that "Yes, you will use this in life" they KNEW we would have kids! What they should have said was this...."You will have to teach it to your kids when you grow up and its not gonna be fun!"
It will get better.....maybe

Happy Birthday to Dianna!!!!
For those of you who don't know....Dianna and I have been friends since 1996. So much has happened to both of us these last 11 years and divorce, kids, marriages, KIDS, FAMILY, loosing our sanity, explaining the birds and the bees (that one is mine alone so far!)and still here we are, 11 years later..."Still Kickin' It" !!!!! (I'm trying to be more COOL, is it working?)
I think that the next 10 years are going to be fabulous, both of us will have teenagers all at one time! Surely we can survive the next 10 years! Sharon Forrester makes the 3rd in our group and we love her! We met at Colby's for Dianna's birthday...we are all celebrating our 29th birthday this year.....(someone told me it's not a lie if you already know that NO ONE will believe it! ha ha) We had a great time!
