Random Junk

For Beth...to get the thumbnail, go to layout, edit your blog roll, check the box that says show thumbnail of current somethingorother. I think that should do it.

For everyone that was OMGosh they were really in a riptide? Yes. They really were. Tim said it was one of the scariest moments in his life. He said that he wasn't worried about himself at all. Everytime he reached out for Taylor, she got sucked out further because of that boogie board being tied to her wrist. He couldn't get her to take it off fast enough before the next wave pulled her out. I have no idea how long they fought the riptide because I was in my own little world walking up and down the beach with Mary Margaret. I think that Angela, Tim's sister, got pulled in a different direction than Tim and Taylor. When I walked back over to them, a wave literally spit her out and she rolled up at my feet. Seriously. I didn't even see her in the water until she rolled up. Kind of like when you were a kid rolling down the hill type thing. Taylor really did not seem all that scared, but she's a hard kid to read. Angela looked tired and just like someone chewed her up and spit her out. Her hair was wild and spikey looking. Tim was out of breath and went straight to the showers, cleaned up and sat on a picnic table the rest of the time we were down there that night.

The first day of school went well for the girls. They both made a few new friends and have the same lunch! The same lunch is a huge SCORE for me because now I can take them both to lunch at the same time!!! Last year I had to make arrangements to take off lunch early to take Taylor.

Last night was the kick off of the Fall Wednesday Night Youth services. The girls both invited someone. I was really surprised at who Mary Margaret invited and that he wanted to go! You heard me right I said HE. When I dropped this boy off, he said that was the best church he had been to and did I mind if we picked him up next week. Of course we will. Now, before everyone gets the drawers all twisted up, she does NOT LIKE this boy for a boyfriend. They have been friends since the 1st grade and she felt like he needed to be invited to church.

Mary Margaret is still heartbroken over a love affair that's been developing for about 2 weeks now. I warned her that this boy was going to high school this year and I didn't think he would stay with her because of this. And he didn't. All in one day he asked to her to be his girlfriend and by that afternoon he had broken up with her, but still wanted to be able to come over and swim. He texted her like crazy, told her how pretty she was, built her hopes up and finally told her Tuesday night that he liked her now only as a friend. She hasn't heard another word from him. She is crushed. She watched her phone all afternoon and all after church last night. Yesterday, on the first day of school, she did have a few boys ask her if she was allowed to go to the movies, so all is not lost, but she's still moping around.

I have, against my better judgement I'm sure, agreed to let them have a back to school party this weekend if it's not raining.

The exciting life is picking back up!!!
