It's Getting Hot in Here....

Here at Butler Manor, we try to keep things interesting for our readers. Tonight was just a normal summer night, full of fire flies, horse flies, mosquito's, frogs, and pets and it's just a tad bit hot outside. We decided to spice things up a little. When we came inside, sat down to a late dinner in the living room (I know, hush) and was enjoying the air conditioning. Suddenly our atomic clock starts to blink really fast and this is what it stopped on...

It's getting hot in here, so take off all yo clothes, I can't breathe its so hot in here...
134.9 inside temperature, good for roasting Kaye, Mary Margaret, Taylor and well, heck everything inside the house. Did I mention that we are having a bar-b-que at our house on the 4th? Ya'll come. I hear the Arkansas Boston Butt will be juicy. We cook the whole hog here, thighs, legs, arms, etc. ha ha ha (I stole that from Dianne)
01-Temperature outside, good for keeping that bar-b-que ice cold with just a little bit of freezer burn.

I worked in the flower beds, cutting my lawn timbers to the right size, patching up some lattice work to keep the animals out of the beds. What did the girls do? Swim. How dare them. I walked up on the deck to find this.

Just kids playing with floats right? Nope. This is the only way to keep the horse flies off of them. They are hiding from the horse flies.

This little man tried to make a break for it this afternoon when we headed to town to get ice for dinner. (My ice maker doesn't work anymore). He trotted down our driveway/hill and down the side of the road. Mary Margaret jumped out of the van and started to "chase" him. I don't really think it could be called a chase. I mean he moves at snails speed. He only made it 1/2 car length ahead of us before she caught him, picked him up and put him in the van. He did manage to weasel a ride to town out of that little stunt.

The only way to hide from flies yet stay cool all at the same time.

wow... so that whole pool thing. sort of reminds me of an outdoor version of vegging in front of the TV... not much effort required, and yet relaxing...hehehe.

um, i think your atomic clock needs a new battery... you're welcome.
