Since school has ended, the Butler Manor seems to have calmed down and become quite boring. Also, it is 10:26 PM and it is 80 degrees in my house right now. Seriously, I'm looking at the atomic clock thingy. Okay, since I stopped doing the Wii, the Butler Manor seems to have really calmed down. I have the perfect excuse.
I am technology challenged. I hooked up the converter box (I'm cheap, no satellite, remember) and the DVD player and the Wii stopped working. Taylor had a friend over last week and she pointed out what I had done wrong. I fixed it. DVD player works and the Wii worked for like 2 seconds. I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong.
The craziest thing happening at the Butler Manor would be the amount of phone calls I get during the day from the girls. "Tell MM she has to wear a full piece swim suit. Tell MM I can get a band aid. Tell MM I can eat Ramen Noodles." and on and on and on. "Tell Taylor to leave me alone. Tell Taylor to leave me alone, gosh, she gets on my nerves. Tell Taylor that I'm 14 now and that I don't want to play no stupid game. I just need to tan." and on and on.
I do have two "Say What????" for ya!
Tonight, watching "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" (not my choice of TV, I lost the Mary Margaret toss. We tossed her as far as we could, I lost. She's mad. jk)
Taylor:applesauce
Me: What?
Taylor: applesauce
Me: Um, okay.
Taylor: No, why did he say applesauce?
Me: (is there someone here I don't know about?) I didn't hear anyone say applesauce.
Taylor: He did (pointing at TV). He said "How about a little applesauce now for these guys" AND I saw the words on the TV.
I looked at the TV and it was flashing "Applause Now" .
Taylor was all....oh, that makes sense now.
Sunday as Mary Margaret was traveling home from World Changers...
I really shouldn't post this, but, you all know MM's thought process...so...
MM: HEEYYY Kaye kaye. I'm the only one not sleeping. Mr. Munn keeps turning the music up. We've listened to a bunch of random music. He says he never listens to the radio, but today, he needed to listen to it. Hey can I go to Texas for the next mission trip in 2010? I really want to go on the mission trip to Africa, but Mr. Munn said you weren't ready for that, why?
Me: I'm not ready for you to leave the U.S.A. You are too young.
MM: I already did.
Me: You already did what?
MM: Left the United States
Me: When did you do that pray tell?
MM: When I went to Alabama this week.
(In the background, Mr. Van Driver says..."OMGosh she's gonna make me wreck this van"
ME: I can't believe you said that! You know that Alabama is one of the 50 States MM. Now get a grip.
MM: Oh, yeah. I was thinking about North America.
Oh my. Don't you know that was a long trip, just Mr. Van Driver and Mary Margaret awake? There's no telling what she told him.

Now we know why he kept turning up the radio, and why he had it on in the first place.
WV: stopoun: action taken to avoid having to listen or converse with a teenager, usually of the female variety.
