What About A List?

List. Did you make them as a kid? Do you make them now?

I remember my brothers and I dragging out the Sears and J C Penny catalogs, laying on the floor, and making the Santa list of almost every toy in both catalogs! Of course, Andy and Scottie were usually wearing their Underroos and I was always wearing my pretty silky red night gown! That list as a kid was the most exciting list to make. I would put mine under my pillow every night just in case I need to make a change, carried it to school, and we had them out during TV time cause new toys were on TV all the time!

Back then I could keep up with things. I could remember where I hid stuff to keep my brothers from touching it. Yes, I didn't like for them to touch my stuff, I know its hard to believe. It was okay as long as I was making them wear my dresses it was ok, but let them want to borrow Barbie to blow her up, buddy it was on!

Until last year, I would make grocery list after grocery list and leave it at home, in the car, or just plain forget what the heck I did with it. Now, the girls have those iPods, they make the list, the list makres it in the store, they put in their ear buds, and dance around the store, making me forget I made the list to start with!

Which brings me to the real reason for this blog. Tim asked me what I want for my birthday this year. I said I'll make you a list.
I need a new light in the kitchen
I need a new ceiling fan in the bedroom
I need new carpet in the hall and den
I need new floor in laundry room
I need new floor in bathroom
Need new floor in mm's room
Need new floor in our room
Need a new roof
And the kitchen sink has a leak.
What I want is a zoom lens for my camera

He said, "oh"

Bet that's not what kind of list he wanted.
