The Bible is banned from school.
A teacher can tell his class all about his sexual preference.
Prayer has been taken out of school.
A teacher can explain to his class what "saging" is.
A child chooses Abortion as her subject for a speech.
The teacher tells her to not use the bible to back up her speech because you can't prove that the Bible says to not have an abortion.
I may be wrong, but I think this teacher is pushing his belief on these kids.

This is because America is moving FORWARD whereas you're moving BACKWARDS.
Oh and by the way, I watched The Virgin Suicides the other day and couldn't help but think of it as your daughters future unless you change your ignorant behavior that is holding them back. You should probably watch the film, it might save the girls.
Wow... nothing like "hiding" behind ignorant words.
America is moving forward but that doesn't mean our foundation needs to crumble. For some families that means a bible-based upbringing. For other families, probably not.
This doesn't change the fact that in any literary class on any campus in the free country in which we live, any student may choose to use the Bible as a reference to support or abolish any thesis on which they choose to write.
Most people lash out against things which they do not understand or more importantly fear. Perhaps ths teacher does not understand the importance of the bible in said student's life. Or perhaps she fears repercussion from more liberal parents and staff. Even more so, she may not know or understand what the Bible contains and therefore is afraid of what will happen should she "allow" it in her classroom.
Broadening your mind and ascertaining knowledge regarding all sorts of lifestyles, religions, cultures and beliefs is not "moving backwards". It is moving forward. It's progression, as it fosters a mutual respect between members of the human race, even in the face of diversity.
As far as the movie "The Suicide Virgins" goes. This movie was more so about repressed teenage girls who were restricted from their innate rites of passage into womanhood, and less so about families with old-fashioned or religious values. It's also fiction. It would be asinine to assume that everyone with strong religious beliefs is supressed and therefore depressed. By prinicple the same logic holds true with regards to sexual promiscuity.
Learning to respect someone else's opinion even though you may not agree, or more importantly when you do not agree is probably the most difficult concept for the human race to grasp. It is ignorance that breeds hate. To wit, hate crimes against minorities, poor treatment of the elderly or the handicapped, hostility towards those with a sexual orientation unlike our own.
The key to "success" in the human race is to open your mind, learn about those not like you and then respect what you learn. If you are sincere in your efforts you will find the similiarities more often than not bridge the gap between our differences. Maybe then you will have less fear and less hate in your heart, and more courage to behave as a respectable individual should.
Anonymous is clearly forgetting that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun. God is not surprised by the behavior of humanity. The only question is, how far will he extend his mercy before he calls his own and destroys the world by fire?
