Little Humor
I let the girls rent movies at the RedBox this weekend while I was out of town shopping. I sent them a code to use for 50 cents off. They forgot to use it. Their solution was to return the movies and rent them again and use the code.

Yucky Day
This blogger is not having a good day.
Probably not good to ask for killer doves (inside joke with me and myself).
I need to mention that it feels like "The Long Hot Summer" here in Wynne, Arkansas. If only Don Johnson were here with some iced sweet tea....

PTL and Days of Our Lives
Do you remember the 700 Club or the PTL hour? Today on "Every Body Hates Chris" Chris wanted to tape the 700 Club and PTL so he could pray to not be robbed again. That brought back a flood of memories. Funny ones.
Who's mother didn't make them get washed up and be seated EVERY DAY before Jim and Tammy Baker came on the TV?
School interupted many years of "Days" for me, then came the VCR. Did I record it? Yes. I. Did. Every single day. Once, I even recorded it over my High School Graduation (on accident)...still have it!
We also watched 700 Club, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggart, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, Another World, and hello....DUKES OF HAZZARD.
P.S. Did I mention that I wanted to BE Hope Brady? I wanted to be her so bad, I practiced arching just one eyebrow one summer in front of the mirror ALL SUMMER and mastered it? Yes. I. Did. And it's possible that I might have copied her hair do. I'll see what I can dig up in the next couple days for...maybe I have a picture...
Who wouldn't love this guy? I might have rode a motorcycle for him.

Wise Words from a 18 year old...my cousin
You know my name, not my story. You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through. If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step. So True. Doesn't this just about cover everything?

I swear to never say...
Have you ever said, "I swear I'm never going to say what my momma said to us!" I do it every day and break that rule every day. Today I broke another rule. I used to swear that I would never say "my kids will be the death of me". I said it. My grandfather used to say..."my kids will be the death of me!" or (to my mom) "Susan, you are killing me!" I'm not my mother...I'm my grandfather. That. Is. Funny.

Another MED Visit down ONE to go
Today was supposed to be the last MED visit, per the 12 year old Medical Doctor we saw last time. The doctor today (who looked 16)said that Mary Margaret's fracture looks stable and to resume all activities, which is exactly what is 12 year old co-worker said the last time. Way to read the previous charts. I started to ask general questions, when I was interupted by Mary Margaret. She had important quesitons. Can I ride roller-coasters again? Can I do lunges and crunches and go back to my work outs? What about all my school sports? Really? I said to the 16 year old doctor, "She doesn't do those things to begin with". He responds to Mary Margaret..."This is how I would power sprints, super lunges, reps, quads.... She was blinking her eyes and agreeing with him and mimicking what he was doing....LIKE THIS WAS A NATURALL EVERY DAY THING TO HER. She wouldn't know a power sprint if it slapped her in the face, unless she's seen some hot guy doing them because that is just about the only TIME she pays attention. This is how I KNOW THE DOCTOR IS 16. He spoke on her level. I say to this doctor, she DOESN'T DO THIS STUFF. She's a waitress, she fills glasses and clears tables, she is a professional texter, she sleeps, she drives to school, she doesn't open her text books because they are heavy, she sleeps, she uses a remote control, she fixes her hair. Seriously. He says to Mary Margaret, "you should wait until the one year mark to schedule sky diving or rock climbing"...soooooooo, I interupted him and said, "Does she really look like she does this stuff?????" He said see you in August! Full release to do whatever you want to do. I called him a stupidhead in my mind.

Relay For Life
Relay for Life was amazing last night. The JPC girls raised almost three times their goal! Their goal was $500.00, the total this morning was $1700, which is not the final total! So proud of these hard working teenagers! They gave up their Friday night for a great cause. Dianne loved the Relay for Life. The first year we took part, was just after Dianne found out she had cancer. That year, tornados came through the night of the Relay and it was held inside. Last year, she walked as a survivor, this year we walked in her memory. She would have gotten a kick out of watching the girls walk and work the Relay. The JPC's Won Miss Relay. Good Job Dillion Boles!!!!
Miss you so much Dianne.Posted by Kaye Butler at 2:23 PM 0 comments

Wii Fit and Farrah
Last night was round 3 of the Wii. I was poking around on the setting and noticed that I could make my own pet AND my pet can do the body testing.
LIGHT BULB.
Wii: Would your pet like to do the body test?
Me: WHY, yes, yes she would.
I looked Farrah, she looked at me (she doesn't like the Wii Fit Board for some reason), her eyebrows went up and I said, "Come on Farrah, lets get your fitness on!" (in my best strong voice). She blew her breath out. I drug her over to the board and situated her paws and she decided she was having none of that. I read the instructions again and realized that I was doing it all wrong! I have to weigh first then pick up my small dog and hold her while we weigh together.
Ha.
Ha ha ha.
So this is for small dogs. Hmmm....
Farrah is not a small dog.
One of her favorite past times is to guard the bathtub, we may drown.
I do the weigh in and again it said "ouch" then I pick Farrah up. Mary Margaret thought this was the funniest thing she had ever seen. I sort of half picked her up. She was squirming away and the Wii kept on working. It said she only weighs 32 lbs. LIAR. Now, I'm convinced that the Wii does not work and that I really do weigh 120 lbs not 4567lbs.
Now that I'm through playing with Farrah, the real workout starts. I did the advanced bicycle ride on the Wii. Let me say this, IT KICKED MY BUTT.
More later.
Farrah got her nails done. She clomped around the house afterwards like I had put 40lbs weights on her feet. FUNNY.

Working on My Fitness
Saturday we walked the track.
Sunday I worked on my fitness on the Wii Fit
Monday night (before the bachelor of course) I worked on the Wii Fit.
You would think after a few months of no yard to push mow and no walking that I would be sore, all over.
NOPE.
Just my thumb. My thumb is sore. How stupid is that?
This is how I'm strolling..
(this sounds dumb, I may have to go back to "This is how I roll"
Maybe my whole blog sounds dumb. I don't care.
Last night while cooking a gormet dinner Tony's Pizza, I was thinking again about this whole blogging thing, about how some think it is stupid. Then my mind wandered. Will the girls read this later and life and realize that it really wasn't a dream, Kaye Kaye really is a dork. Then the old mind wandered from blogging to my quilting. Will the girls remember while they did their homework that I quilted at the kitchen table with them. Cut out patterns, pieced and sewed. Will it be a good memory or Oh my gosh, she was so lame memory. Will they remember all the times I drug them off to photo sessions.
Will they remember this crazy life we have now?
Hope so, cause I think it's a good crazy. (except for the teenage crazy drama)

De-sheding My Life
De-shedding?
This weekend Nicole came down to spend the weekend. The original plan was for her to come down and we were going to spend it visiting with Dianne.
Here's where the de-shedding part comes in...
Farrah our dog is getting rid of her winter coat on EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. So I bought a de-sheding tool, then my mind wandered. It wanders a lot. Sometimes that's not so good and sometimes it's just okay. I thought, wow, I should de-shed my life. Get rid of all this junk stored up in my head that keeps me worried. Get rid of all the stuffines. Get rid of all the pounds I'm not sheding. Get rid of all the hurt. Start over.
So that's what I'm doing.
Saturday was my first day back on the track walking.
Sunday was the Wii Fit (how dare that sucker say "ouch" when I stepped on the board).
I am 10lbs lighter, 2 years since my last weigh in. Go Me! It only took me 634 days to shed 10 pounds!!!!! (somewhere between the last day I stepped off and yesterday when I got back on, though, I've lost one size in clothing...so that's good)
So the fun times begin.
It's how I stroll not roll...I refuse to roll again.
A few funny pictures from this weekend...having Nicole around always equals fun times...laugh till you cry times...
We de-shedded Farrah and used her fur as crazy mustaches...Nicole looks way more cute than me... I look drunk, or something, and WHY does my hair always look so "Elvis"???????
Girls ready for the JPC Meeting Sunday....looking cute and faking the sisterly love.
Nicole shed the mustache for lunch on Sunday! Taylor looking cute!
A quilt top finished Sunday night, ready for the name and quilted! READY for a new great nephew...

This Is How I Roll over the Valley's and Mountains
Whoever thought, when I was a kid, that being an adult would mean crossing death defying mountains and valley's.
I've been rolling, tumbling, jumping, stumblins, clawing my way back up mountains and valleys.
It's always harder the week after is true. While Dianne was sick, I tried really hard to not bother her with silly stuff, now, how many times I picked up the phone up to send her a picture, or OMG I can't believe Mary Margaret said that, or to tell her Taylor bought a belly burner to loose weight and is wearing it to school, to tell her the mistakes I've made handling this weekend's teenage drama or that Philip finally admited, out loud, that he likes me. (I knew he did all along LOL). I wanted to tell her how proud I felt, when Philip came to me at the visitation and said there were people HE wanted me to meet...they were his teachers from school. PROUD I tell you.
She would have been speachless when she saw all the people lined up for her visitation. She would have been PROUD of all her boys, they were so strong.
Someone (who shall remain nameless) told me that blogging and facebook is stupid, no one needs to know all your business. It's not. I've read bits and pieces of Dianne's blog several times over the last several weeks, gone back over comments on facebook, and it's priceless.
I was thinking of giving up blogging. I'm not going to. Someday, someone might want to know what I had to say.
This is how I roll...LOL
one of my fave Dianne quote..."I'm 45 and hormonal so get over yourself!" CDB
