Who are These BEAUTIFUL women?
Myself, Dianna Moore and Sharon Forrester.
I had a great 33rd birthday on December 6, 2006. My friends Dianna Moore and Sharon Forrester treated me to lunch at Kellys Grill here in Wynne. We had a great time being silly and gossiping. (There is lots to gossip about, the people in this town just can't act right.) My sister-in-law Dianne treated me to lunch the day before...I have never gotten this much attention on my birthday....I wonder if they all know something that I don't? (Just Kidding) It is nice to have such wonderful friends and family. Thanks to all who called, sent cards and presents. Thank you for making my day special. The picture I am posting is Me, Dianna and Sharon, taken Wednesday at Kellys. Dianna and Sharon....I know you are both mad...but it is a good picture.

'the Girls, Sapphire and Toby Keith
This was taken at the End of September just before Sapphire got sick. For those of you who do not know who Sapphire is, She's the dog. Best one we have ever had. Her tennis balls were expensive (ha ha) but worth the rock free yard!
(Toby Keith would be the cat) Mary Margaret in the brown and Taylor in the stripes>

October
Well, October is almost over, just a few more days left. Update on the love life of Mary Margaret. She went to the Homecoming with Coy, (the one that broke up with her), but now she has moved on back to Logan (a boy in her Sunday School Class). I'm putting two pictures on from the homecoming. One is of Mary Margaret and Coy (her date) the other is of "The Gang" Taylor Butler, Julia Merrill, Mary Margaret Butler and in the back Taylor Witcher.
We had our "Holyween" at church this past weekend. Mary Margaret entered the dessert bakeoff and made Cinnamon Rolls that took 2nd place. She was very excited about this. Taylor and Philip were judges in the cook off contest. Taylor and Alyssa won best costume...they went as David (Alyssa) and Goliath (Taylor). Mary Margaret won 2nd prize with her costume Pharohs daugther with baby Moses. Philip (my nephew) won 3rd place, he went as the apostle PHILIP. They were all tooo oooo cute. We wanted to stay for the hay ride, but work called me. Dianne (my sister in law) said that the 30min ride turned into a 3 hour tour. Oh, Boy!!!! I am going to put some pictures from the "Holyween" on here also.
We lost Sapphire this month on October 17. I am sure that she is in a much better place and feels much better. She really suffered the last few days. We all really miss her. She always met us at the curve in the driveway with either her ball or a rock in her mouth ready to play. I am sure that Toby Keith (the cat) misses her too. Sapphire kept all the mean cats away. Toby Keith now gets his rear kicked every day...3 to 4 times.

Moving into the 21st Century
As most of you know...I have been cutting my own hair for years...why? BECAUSE IM CHEAP. I bit the bullet and my "stylist" Joy Forrester at Studio 251 told me that it was time to move into 2006 and out of 1987 and throw away those hot rollers!!!! (I may have to enter rehab for hot roller detox!!!) Anyway I have attached a picture (you all know how devastating it is for me to get in front of the camera...consider yourselves lucky to even view this picture.) The girls like it, but I can tell that the color and cut is a little shocking because Taylor jumped this morning when she got up and said What Happened last night!!!!! Mary Margaret said I look like a lunchroom lady...(for those of you who know Mary Margaret well...consider the source.) Enjoy your laugh for the day. ( I am getting use to the color...I love the cut)
Kaye
P. S. Mary Margaret is now single again. She got dumped. NO HOMECOMING DATE!!!!!!! The love life of an 11 year old. (It really wasn't a "date" more of meeting at the game with their moms!!! or aunts whatever)

The following has been copied over from Scottie's only email this year. I miss him and Andy. Thought everyone would like to know what his plans are.
Ms. Tommye told me that Papaw will not need surgery on his back, that he should heal naturally, (as long as he does not try to break her fall again!!) ha ha ha.
Kaye
From odis1_brawner@yahoo.com
HEY, Here is the but hole that doesn't call or write.
Well, Just so you all know your all treated the same:):):):):): I haven't called or written Cory either this whole time, So don't take offense, as most of you know its just the way I am. This year has been a little worse because of the structuring of the company and the guy who for some reason chose to think I'm the enemy is getting higher and higher in the company. It has made it so hard I don't think I will work for them anymore. Maybe later in life after hes gone, but I aint gonna fight it anymore..... to stressful and Dramatic, Not worth it. I have one the battle this year but just don't want to do it again. So that is what I have been wrapped up in and building 2 Jobs also and just really haven't had a minute to spare. I work about 390 to 420 hours a month. Yea Cory;;; I do know what I am gonna do the next morning before I go to bed (inside joke folks).......
So any way, I apologize for the lack of contact, Some of you are use to it, Its just the way I get when I get wrapped up in a Job. But I do apologize, I still love all of ya the same, and I still want to be all you guys best friend, at least your best friend that has a titanium leg. I know the competition is stiff.:)
Seriously, I thought I'd email first because today I don't have time to call a list this long, I'm still working. Speaking of which, I plan on being done in a couple weeks, but I don't know what may pop up to be done. I don't however know when I will be back to the area. I will be each place at some point this winter. But this may be a shocker!!!
I AM STAYING IN ALASKA...... Yep I said it, I'm staying. 60 below aint nothing for me.
So I'm moving up literally. At least thats the plan at this point. Gonna get the big T.V.'s, furniture stored all around the country, Guitars all in a trailer and settle in and try to make a go of it in Alaska.
There are a lot of Contractors up here, and they have expressed interest in me for Bid consulting, Management and organizing of Construction projects Etc... Also the Phone companys in Anchorage have been courting me from the awareness of what I've done for the company I work for now.
I don't know exactly when I will technically move it all up here but I think I'm gonna. I'll probably wait to see what I end up doing and where. That could be next week and could be next spring.
I am gonna be coming out over the Winter, I don't want to do anything work wise till late winter early spring unless there is a offer I cant resist. That will give me time to get out a couple times if not more. I know I will be going to Vegas or a Island somewhere to get some warm weather relief at some point. The rest of the trips will be to see my friends, as you all know I think of you as family and want to see all of you.
Kaye you know I love ya sis. How are the girls.? What is the plan for Thanksgiving?
Andy, Havent heard from ya whats up?
So anyway to save time I thought I'd just write everyone at the same time. It also takes out some of the fear of how hard yall will lash me for not calling. I guess yall found out the cell #'s I had dont work up here. I will be getting a Cell Alaska , Cell phone soon that works good up here. I really do miss you guys and hate that I wont be trying to settle in around yall. But there just isn't anything for me to do down there. But I will come out of my igloo occasionally to visit. An occasional visit from Brawner go's a long ways,,, Right? Brawner'rized??

Generations
Mr. Butler will be having a stint put in his right arm today and some testing to see if there is any lower blockage. I thought it was a St. Bernard's but Tim says the NEA of Jonesboro (old Methodist Hospital).
Also...
I have some recent pictures of 3 generations on my mother's side...sort of. In the picture is my great grandmother (Myrtle Clark) my mother (Susan) and my grandmother (Willie Mae Clark). The reason that I say "sort of" is because my grandmother is her ex-daughter-in-law, but serves as the 2nd generation, and they are still very close.
My mother and grandmother visited "Mom Myrtle" this past weekend at her nursing home in Memphis, she will be 94 on her birthday in September. Don't you all know that this lady has lived through some of the worst times and best times in our history. I'm sure she could have told us many stories when she was still with us mentally. She married my great grandfather John Clark when my grandfather (John Logan) was around the age of 7 or 8. She raised my grandfather and his sister and had three of her own. She helped raise and pick cotton and lost her husband when her children were young. Mom Myrtle did without many things in her life to make the lives of her children better, and I'm sure because of pride. All of us do without things in our lives not realizing that "someone" wants to help. Her family pitched in when they could and when she let them finally know that she needed the help. I'm sorry to say that I only remember few visits with this lady, sitting on her front steps in Caldwell (the big city) watching one of my cousins (Chris) mow her yard, playing cowboy and indians with my brothers, using the butane tank for a horse, and of course watching her cook a Christmas dinner at my Pappaw Clarks house out on Highway 284. I do remember that she was a graceful lady and very pretty. I hope that you all enjoy the picture. I know that some of you haven't seen my mother in a long time...still got that brown hair....ha ha ha ha just kidding.

Happy 4th of July!!!!
This past Monday, Mike Brawner had a birthday party for Aunt Dorothy and the girls and I went and had a great time. I hope to be putting her birthday picture on this page too. Sandy and Mike did a wonderful job with all the cooking!
The celebrations have started. The girls and I traveled to Lead Hill this weekend for some good food, family and fireworks! We all had a blast. Ann, Jerry, Marni, Krikland, Karagen, ME, M & M, Taylor all met up at Dads. The kids swam and the the adults, ate and visited. Ann and her group had to leave before the fireworks to catch the Ferry home (sounds like the old days). Corey and Craig wowed the rest of us with a beautiful show of fireworks. The girls and I traveled home Sunday in time for Ribs by Tim at the Butler's. Tuesday our plan is to relax, cook some more, and watch the fireworks at the 4th in the Forrest in Jonesboro. Enjoy the pictures.
Group picture: Jerry, Ann (green), Marni (red) Charlene, Dad, Mary Margaret, Delani, Taylor, Kirkland and Karagen. ( I was taking the picture)

Garrie is home
Angela and Garrie are home now, they came home Sunday. The doctor said that he cleaned out the lesions that he had and I think removed some abnormal tissue that will be sent off for testing. I'm not sure, but I think that the results will be in next week sometime. Garrie is doing fine...bored already...He came home with two black eyes from the swelling...very attractive! I will keep you all updated.

Updates from Wynne
I know....its been way too long!!!
I think that things went well this past Sunday. We celebrated Father's Day early this year....a surprise Father's Day for Garrie. Everyone gave Garrie something that could be used at the hospital and afterwards. He was totally surprised! Dianne made a quick and thoughtful speech and he began opening presents. (I think that I saw some tears) I took lots of pictures and then (they should have called me Grace) I accidently deleted them. So...we recreated the pictures. John and Renee gave him magazines ( hunting of course) for the hospital, Dianne and Clayton gave him candy, drinks, etc. to keep from running to the snack machine..., Jason and Nicole gave them groceries for after the hospital and Tim and I gave him a quilt, scrap book and homemade jelly. All in all a great day.
Taylor and Mary Margaret both got permanents...signs of growing up. Taylor's looks really great...we are going to have to reperm MM's hair...hers is still straight.
Dianna (my best friend) is a GRANDMOTHER!!!!! June 8, 2006, Madison, 7lbs and 21inches long! CONGRATULATIONS GRANNY AND PAPPAW! (Paul's Oldest Daughter, Jennifer)
Updates from Harrison...
Delani's cat (I don't know which one) has come down with tick fever...Dad (can you believe it) is taking the cat to the doctor! Corey and Craig are playing ball. I'm sure Scottie is working his butt off in Alaska and Andy and Amanda are working in Kansas City, Missouri...Blake (Andy's boy) has the joy of attending Summer School and Alisa will start kindergarden this year!
Vilonia
My mother (Susan) has had a death recently. Her mother-in-law Edna Smith passed away last week and they were flying Monday to Maryland for burial. I hope she knows that our thoughts and prayers are with them. Hope they all have a safe flight too.
Pictures: My new kitchen flooring....yahooooooo
and Garrie and the Quilt I made him.

Summer Begins!!!!
Tim's Uncle Wayne made it through his surgery fine. The Dr.'s took the voice box and a muscle in the left shoulder out. Also, they seem to think that they got all of the mass in his throat. He will have to undergo radiation. I hear that he has been tryint to flirt with the nurses. Nicole and I took the girls to Jonesboro yesterday (Memorial Day) to see him. He seemed in good spirits and looked better than I had imagined.
Garrie's surgery is scheduled for the 15th of June. I will of course keep you all updated if anything new comes up.
My mom had asked that I put a picture of me and Mae Mae on this site...I haven't forgotten...also, have not heard from her in awhile...Mom, I did find your address, so I will be getting those gifts off in the mail.
Last weekend we had a graduation party for Johnathon...its hard to believe that he has grown up and we will be doing this for Ben and Amanda next year!

Crazy Times
Yes, I haven't posted anything lately. Life has been crazy. Busy at home and work both. We are getting ready for Johnathon's Graduation party (Angela says one down and two to go!) and father's day. I'm posting a picture from Mammaw's funeral. A lot of you have been asking how they are all doing, for the majority of them, they are fine. Dad sounds a little down. From left to right...Barry Brawner, Scott Brawner, Lisa Crowder, Ann Turner and James Brawner.
Love to everyone!

Mammaw’s Loving Touch
by Marni Davis Lathrop
During life we encounter special people who love us uncondionally. My Mammaw was one of those people to me.
The day that I was born she waited and waited for me to arrive. Everyone else had gone home she said except for her and Grandma South. She would smile with such pride as she remembered it in her mind. She would then tell me “Dr. Young walked out into the waiting room and layed you in my arms. My first moment in life was welcomed by “My Mammaw’s loving Touch.”
As I grew into a child and I was learning to behave, she knew right when to administer “Mammaw’s loving touch” just as soon as she could find the fly swatter.
If times were ever rough at home all I had to do is call her on the phone. She never said today was not good for her or she was too tired for company. Mammaw never said maybe next weekend. Instead She would turn her tires over so fast it threw gravel behind her as she pulled out on that number 1 highway to come to pick me up. She would speed to me to take me into her arms and give me “Mammaw’s Loving touch” then away we’d go back to Mammaw’s and Papaw’s house. There she would say I think I have some oatmeal scotchies or a chocolate pie just sit down and I will get you some. Then she would take me into the living room and she would rock me in the rocking chair and I did not have a care in the world because I knew I was loved and safe.
We would go visit Aunt Pearl and Grandma Brawner just to make sure they were ok. But Mammaw always carried them something to make them feel special. She gave them “Mammaw’s Loving touch” through a hot lunch or dinner or perhaps she had just made a cake or canned some pickles or jelly whatever she had she made sure they had some too.
We would work in the garden and in the flowerbeds. Pappaw would turn it over and then we would plant and weed and pick and can what we grew. She always had such a clean garden row. I have tried it myself as an adult but I mostly grew weeds and nothing else. I just do not have “Mammaw’s Loving Touch”.
Our family used to have big dinners that she would make for us. She would stay up all night cooking and start baking a week ahead of time. She wanted to make sure that everyone had their favorites. Each bite was so delicious you knew that it was made with “Mammaw’s Loving Touch”
She was so happy and proud to be a mother. She would say so proudly, “I was married eleven years before I had my first baby. Then I had: Ann, Scott, Barry, James and Lisa. She never forgot how many children she had even at the end when she did not always remember what day it was or how old she was. She was so proud of her babies and grand babies and great grandbabies.
Mammaw was so devoted to Pappaw she loved him so much. She said I promised your grandfather out in the garden that I would always be Mrs. Odis Brawner until I died. She stayed by his side through each and every hospital stay giving gladly my Mammaw’s Loving Touch. If he was going to be their then she was not going to leave him alone. I would catch her crying and talking to herself, or God, hoping he would get well and come home with us. Then I heard her say she did not want him to suffer she would rather him go on to Heaven. Then she let him go so unselfishly with “Mammaw’s Loving Touch”.
Aunt Pearl was such a wonderful mother and sister to her. Grandma Rhodes was the mother she knew but Aunt Pearl was also a mother to her. She was the great grandmother I knew. Mammaw would say lets go see Pearl and we would walk that sidewalk to her house. Then Mammaw and Aunt Pearl would walk around and look at their beautiful flowers and shrubs and that famous Smoke tree that was planted between their houses. Mammaw would say and truly believed there would be a cloud of smoke around it when it bloomed. Aunt Pearl and Grandma Rhodes gave Mammaw her Loving Touch that only a mother can give. Mammaw’s mother died just 9 days after she was born. I am sure that she held her in her arms with that same loving Touch until God needed her to come back home.
I am so thankful to have had Mammaw as my grandmother. She lived a long life full of “Mammaw’s Loving Touches”. Mom said the last week of her life before she went to the hospital, Mammaw would look up at the ceiling and call out “Aunt Pearl” and “Momma”. I now believe that they were coming to take her hand and lead her to Heaven. On her last day here on earth she was at the hospital, the nurses were bringing her back from a test and asked us to wait in the hall while they get her settled. I could not obey, I felt compelled to go in the room and touch her hand before they could move her to the bed. I felt I had to touch her at that moment in time and now I know that is because that was the last time I would have my Mammaw’s Loving Touch. I believe that as I was holding her hand in this world while Aunt Pearl and Mammaw’s Mother was holding her other hand and leading her to Heaven. What a wonderful Mother’s Day she will have with all of her mothers and their Loving Touches.

Lula Ernestine Head Brawner Obit
On a cold winter’s day, in Wynne, Arkansas, a baby girl was born to Ernest O. and Lula Allison Head. And so began life’s journey for Ernestine Lula Head. Born January 17, 1922, she was the fourth child born to this family, losing her mother in death 9 days after her birth.
Being an engineer on the Missouri Pacific Railroad, Ernest was unable to care for his young family. The three older children were placed in the Methodist Orphanage in Little Rock but the orphanage did not take infants. Two ladies, Anne Rhodes and Pearl Campbell agreed to care for baby Ernestine.
As a young girl she attended the Christian Church in Wynne with “Aunt Pearl” and attended the youth activities at the Wynne First Baptist Church. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and later became an active member of the Fitzgerald Baptist Church.
Ernestine was united in marriage to Odis Andy Brawner on September 18, 1937. They made their home in the Colt/Wynne area and were blessed with five children, three boys and two girls.
Ernestine worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 25 years, retiring in 1970. A hard worker, she excelled at gardening vegetables and beautiful flowers. She loved to cook and was known for the huge meals she would prepare for her family after church and during the holidays, especially the deserts.
Never meeting a stranger, Ernestine loved everyone and would do anything to help her family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. She always had a beautiful smile and a sparkle in her eyes for every one she met. Her interest included cross-stitching, crewel embroidery handwork, and listing to gospel and country music.
“Mammaw”, as she was lovingly known to her grandchildren, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Every member of her family and extended family was most precious to her. She would always say “Mammaw loves you!”
On Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, God called Ernestine home. Mothers Day will be this Sunday but Tuesday was a special Mother Day reunion between Ernestine, her birth mother and the mother that raised her, Anne Rhodes along with Pearl Campbell. Though our hearts a heavy and sad we know that our loss here on earth is truly Heaven’s gain.
Ernestine is survived by three sons:
Odis Scott Brawner, Sr. & Charlene of Lead Hill, AR
Barry Allen Brawner & Bettye of Jonesboro
James Franklin Brawner of Red Banks, MS
Two daughters:
Ann Sharon Turner & Jerry of Protem, MO
Lisa Carol Crowder of Searcy, Arkansas
Nine grandchildren:

Andy Brawner & Amanda of Kansas City, MO
Odis Scott Brawner, Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas
Delani B. Brawner of Lead Hill, Arkansas
Marni Lathrop & Pat of Branson , Missouri
Bevan Brawner of Fayetteville, Arkansas
Begina Proctor & Kyle of Little Rock, Arkansas
Brandon Brawner of Jonesboro, Arkansas
Odie Jack Crowder and Shane Crowder both of Forrest City
Ten Great Grandchildren:
Kirkland Lathrop
Karagan Lathrop
Alisa Brawner
Tyler Brawner
Alyssia Brawner

and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her husband Otis preceded her in death on August 21, 1984. Her father, E. O. Head, foster mother, Anne Rhodes and Pearl Campbell, her brother Elva, and sisters, Lucile and Ernice also preceded her in death.

Wynne Prom 2006
Amanda asked me to come out and take pictures of her getting ready for Prom. I broke my camera...but a quick trip to Wal-Mart fixed that problem. She has grown up too fast. It seems just like yesterday that she was sitting in my lap, begging KK to fix her hair just like mine.
Love you Amanda Jane.

Easter Weekend!
Easter has come and gone in a flash! Camping at Bear Creek, home on Saturday, church on Sunday, and of course, Easter Bunny's arrival!
Nicole told me that this weekend was Alyssa's first time to camp. She rode her Bike, played with her best friend Sapphire (who is not excited about the situation), went fishing (she used crockets to fish with) and played in the dirt! She cleans up real nice ! She was beautiful Sunday as always!
Mary Margaret had the ultimate bike wreck ever! She is skinned from elbow half way up her arm. She tried to tie Sapphire (again not a happy camper) to her bike handle bars and ride...Did not work as planned! She fished and caught one.
Taylor (who is mean, I hate to admit) left Mary Margaret it the bathroom at camp, middle of the night with no flashlight. The bathrooms at Bear Creek are lighted by the sun only! Mary Margaret sounded like she someone was killing her! (We all had a good laugh, not in the presence of the girls!) Taylor also caught one fish and fell in the water between the two boats!
The boys (now including Randale in that group) Tim, Jason, and Randale caught about 20 fish and John & Renee' caught 30 fish. There was a small accident cooking...As they say "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"..."What happens at camp stays at camp".
Sunday we went to church and then ate Easter lunch at Dianne's (thanks Di) and trucked on down to Village Creek to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt eggs! All in all, we had a good time.

April 11, 2006
I tried the Yahoo 360 as you all know...it was taking forever!!! This will now be my new blog!!!
Let me catch you all up on the exciting times in the Butler Family life. I have been spending my (free) time shopping at the Turtle Creek Mall...love the new mall...I have no reason to go to Memphis now.
We have started (several weeks now) tearing up our Kitchen floor to put down new hardwood flooring. I (you all know me and my painting) have decided that the Kitchen should be painted (again) before the new floor gets put down...so the girls and I have been sanding and cleaning so that I can paint it. Dune is the color I picked...the color of sand. The weekend of the tornado we went out to Angela and Garrie's and helped move furniture so that Randale could lay carpet. I did not get to see the finished product but I did see Angela's room almost finished and Randale is good for something finally (Ha Ha Ha) Just kidding. Josh and Johnathan got their room painted kind-of camoflauged...It was looking good when we left Sunday night.
Mary Margaret finally got on the all A & B honor roll but Taylor is still struggling.
John and Renee' had a rough ride thorugh the tornado. I believe that they had a tree fall on their house and some damage to their barn. And we just found out that they also had some damage to their pop up camper.
This picture of the girls (Mary Margaret on blue bike, Alyssa in middle, and Taylor on the purple bike) was taken this past Sunday on the highway that runs infront of our house. Don't let them fool you...they can (all three) be monsters!!! But you gotta love them! Sapphire has always got to be in the picture somewhere...see her at the bottom left corner!
